With the sun shining and the thermometer reading + 12c I gave my fat bike a rest and went for a road ride the other day.
That first road ride of the year is always great. Climbing onto my lightweight and nimble steed is invigorating. Putting power into the pedals and feeling that immediate responsiveness and acceleration always puts a smile on my face.
I know I am getting ahead of myself and that this unseasonably warm weather is only a tease. We are sure to get plenty of more snow and cold weather this winter, but this taste of spring does get me looking forward to the upcoming race season.
Now is the time to be pulling out the calendar and marking it up with your 2015 cycling events. Whether you are a serious racer or a casual rider it is important to plan out your schedule.
- What are your goals?
- What events do you want to compete/participate in?
- What do you need to do to prepare for those events?
Our coaches work with the individual athletes, to help them set realistic but challenging goals and then provide the professional advice, support and services to help them along the way.
Momentum Cycling has a number of programs, clinics and camps planned for the spring of 2015. Our coaches will lead you on group rides, designed to develop your riding skills and fitness. You will also have the opportunity to ride with other cyclists of similar skills and abilities, experiencing friendly competition & peer support.
So whether you are a roadie or a mountain biker, a novice or a veteran, you are sure to find a Momentum Cycling program to fit your needs.
